Itinerary
The trip starts with adventure in Jinja, moves north to Murchison, and then takes a substantial drive to the southwest for the gorilla trek before returning to Entebbe.
Arrive at EBB. Drive east to Jinja, the source of the River Nile (approx. 2 hours). Check-in and afternoon dedicated to relaxing or a sunset walk by the Nile.
Full day of professional white water rafting on the Nile River (Grade 3-5 rapids). Includes all gear and a barbecue lunch by the river. (Non-rafters can choose a quieter boat cruise).
Long drive day (approx. 7-8 hours) north to Murchison Falls NP. Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary en route for a guided walking safari to track the rhinos. Check-in to your lodge on the southern bank.
Early morning game drive in the northern sector, searching for Big Game. Afternoon Boat Safari on the Nile to the bottom of Murchison Falls, observing wildlife by the riverbanks.
Morning hike to the spectacular Top of the Falls view point. After lunch, begin the long transfer (approx. 7-8 hours) towards the Bwindi area, breaking the journey with an overnight stop near Fort Portal.
Complete the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check-in and relax, preparing your gear for the early morning gorilla trek.
Early briefing at the park headquarters. Begin the trek into Bwindi Forest. Spend one hour with the gorilla family upon locating them. Return to the lodge for celebration and relaxation.
Drive east (approx. 6-7 hours) to Lake Mburo National Park. Afternoon check-in. Optional night game drive to spot nocturnal animals.
Early morning guided Walking Safari (no predators, safe to walk) to see zebras, impalas, and giraffes up close. Afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo.
Final game drive in Lake Mburo. Drive back to Entebbe (approx. 4-5 hours), stopping at the Equator for souvenirs. Drop-off at EBB for your flight.
