We recommend booking 2–4 months in advance especially for gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking, and peak seasons (June–August & December–February) since permits and lodges fill up quickly.

GORILLA & CHIMP TREKKING
Yes. Permits are mandatory and issued by Uganda Wildlife Authority. Nkobe Tours & Travel handles the entire process — checking availability, paying for the permit, and securing it on your behalf.
Moderate fitness is recommended. Treks can last 2–6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas or chimps. Our guides support you every step of the way, and porters are available to help carry items.
Long-sleeved clothing, hiking boots, gloves, insect repellent, a light waterproof jacket, water, and a camera. We provide a detailed trekking checklist once your trip is confirmed.
TRANSPORT & ACCOMMODATION
We use comfortable 4×4 safari vehicles with pop-up roofs, large windows, in-car charging, and enough space for bags and photography gear. They’re built for game drives and Uganda’s terrain.
Yes, we offer free airport pickup for all booked tours, plus optional drop-off services. A guide or driver will be waiting for you upon arrival.
